How do we use it?

When working on a task (like a PowerPoint presentation), it's important to think about the outcome. Setting rubrics can help you evaluate your work, follow these two steps:

  • Determine the skills you need to use when performing the task.
  • Write rubrics for each of these skills. These rubrics can be weak, good, or excellent.

Why its important?

Just thinking about "rubrics" challenges our thinking. What is good work? What is average work? How would you describe this task? Once you clarify the difference between excellent and poor work, it guides you to give your best.

The rubrics Key benefits us by:

  • Acquiring the skill of setting rubrics to evaluate performance levels.
  • Acquiring the skill of judging the quality of work and making an effort to improve it.

Example:

"We need to go to school."

Why? Because we learn some important life skills.

Why? Because learning will help us deal more effectively with life when we become adults.

Why? Because life is more enjoyable if you know how to deal with what is happening around you.
